Q: Why did you choose to use QED's strategy implementation model?
A: I had seen a taste of it in an initial half day session and liked the approach. It was down to earth, practical and included the good elements from strategy processes that I have used previously and found to be successful. It also has the only credible and differentiated definitions of aim and mission that I have ever come across!
Q: What would you say were the tangible benefits as a result of this work?
A: A clearly defined set of strategies, CSFs and critical actions that the whole team contributed to and are using on a regular basis and that we have been able to use with our customers and stakeholders Personal objectives and priority setting were straightforward – they relate to implementation of the above. Less time taken in explaining why and what we are doing - the team are all on the same page and have a shared and common understanding.
Q: What impact is this having on performance and staff?
Confidence levels are up - we really questioned and debated our CSFs and critical actions and know that they are robust and will deliver our strategies.
