THE POWER OF NETWORKING It’s Not Just What You Know…

Getting to know the right people can be critical for business success. Jeremy Thorn considers some of the vital skills of business networking.

Why in a recession can Training give you the competitive edge

In the August edition of the QED Newsletter we spoke about ‘The Real Value of Learning and Development within the Workplace’. We concluded that training is important and should not be seen as a ‘nice to have’ but a ‘must have’.

QED’s Consulting’s Rising Star Award at The Doncaster Chamber Business Awards

In December, we were really excited about sponsoring a new award at the prestigious Doncaster Chamber Business Awards. The Rising Star Award was aimed to help identify the talent of the future and we asked companies to nominate staff who had developed personally and professionally and who had grown within the company, fulfilling and exceeding their role’s objectives through demonstrating an innovative and proactive approach to work.

Katie Stewart from Atteys Solicitors was our very worth first ever winner. We chose Katie because she showed the combination of talent, hard work and social awareness that we know is so vital in the make up of future leaders. Doncaster is very blessed with such a bright personality within its business community.

Rising Star: Kate Stewart with QED Consulting Exec Chairman Steve Hinton

And as we kick off this New Year we would like to encourage all our local clients, colleagues and partners to look at entering their Rising Stars later in the year – they deserve all the recognition and support that we can give.

We would like to say congratulations to all of the winners:
