Bio Entrepreneur School
QED Consulting has successfully delivered the second Bio Entrepreneur School at BioCity Nottingham.
The 3 day School took place in February following an influx of applications from Bio scientists and Biotechnology developers wanting to progress their entrepreneurial career through one of the 30 fully-funded places available at the school.
QED Consulting Director and renowned entrepreneurial expert Martijn Mugge commented that, “it is through these kinds of Schools that we aim to play our part in creating a more enterprising culture and stimulating an entrepreneurial spirit, which will help delegates to realise their full potential as budding entrepreneurs.”
QED Consulting would like to thank Greater Nottingham Partnership for funding the School and BioCity, BBSRC, Adamson Jones, Nottingham City Council, PriceWaterHouseCoopers, UK Trade and Investment (UKTI), Nelsons Law and Connect Midlands for their generous sponsoring support and for working with us in making this School a reality.
To see BBC media coverage of the Bio School please follow the link and for further information about the Bio School please go to: http://www.bioentrepreneur.co.uk/

Creative Juices
QED Consulting are soon to be depicted and interpreted in art by Art Students from Doncaster College...
As part of the colleges ‘Creative Juices’ project QED Consulting have opened their doors to 6 art students who as part of their degree courses have been tasked to produce a piece of artwork based on their interpretation and impression of the company. The art students come from a range of disciplines including photography, fine art and sculpture and are currently working on their ‘art’. Eagerly awaiting the final pieces to be produced, QED Consulting staff will be invited to judge them and go onto commission the winning piece. As soon as the artwork takes it's place in the office you will all be invited to take a look and see if you think it truly reflects QED Consulting!

Goodbye & good luck
After nearly 3 years of professionalism, dedication and fun, QED Consulting are sad to say farewell to Consultant and Occupational Psychologist Farah Waheed. Farah is leaving for pastures new to take on an exciting and challenging new role at Amec. We are of course thrilled for Farah but we will miss her.
For all those clients who work with Farah, life will carry on as normal, any queries do not hesitate to contact Kathy Denton or Steve Hinton on 01302 761222.
And for you Farah…from all of your colleagues (and I am sure our clients will join us) we wish you many congratulations and all the best for the future. We know you will be fantastic wherever you are and whatever you do.
Spending good time…
February witnessed the first QED Consulting Seminar and Networking lunch of 2008. The seminar topic, Time Management proved to be very popular and well received as we had the pleasure of welcoming many old and new faces into the offices.
Consultant Mark Ellis gave us the lowdown on how to ensure that we work as efficiently as we can without taking on other people’s ‘monkeys!’ (i.e work). If you would like to find out more about our Time Management tips please contact Mark Ellis on 01302 761222 or email Mark. We will keep you informed in good time (no pun intended) of the next event. If you are interested in working with QED Consulting to host similar events or indeed would like to attend one of ours please do not hesitate to contact Rebecca Hughes on 01302 767896 or email Rebecca
